PlaYce Yaoundé celebrates women
Wednesday March 8 was International Women's Day, 2023 edition. But at PlaYce Yaoundé, the celebration spanned a week.
PlaYce Yaoundé has drawn up a full agenda for its community on stilettos: a mini-fair, a dedicated fitness session, a fashion show, a business talk, and to round things off in good spirits, a comedy show. A rather promising program of entertainment and good business!
In a luminous square of immaculate white tablecloths, craftswomen and shopkeepers presented products likely to appeal to the mall's female clientele. From beauty products to intimate hygiene, fashion and home decoration, it was made in Cameroon that was showcased, to the delight of the ladies. And so, from March 4 to 8, many women enjoyed themselves at the PlaYce Yaoundé mini-fair.
The day after the opening, the mini-fair was the long-awaited rendezvous for sports enthusiasts. Shortly before 6 a.m., PlaYce Yaoundé was already welcoming to its parking lot delegations of women, who had flocked en masse to take part in the fitness session dedicated to women. The Madiba mineral water brand, official sponsor of the event, hydrated and revitalized over 500 women during the physical exercises, followed by a concert with guest star Fadil le Sorcier.

Two days later, the mall saw a parade of striking models. On the cat walk, traditional outfits from ASCAM rubbed shoulders with city wear from Adina, the women's ready-to-wear store.
Since women are active forces in the economy, PlaYce Yaoundé couldn't have celebrated them without addressing this aspect of women's lives. So, on March 9, in its food court, PlaYce Yaoundé hosted a talk on digital solutions for women entrepreneurs. Ms. Metchum Tayou Loveline, Marketing Consultant for very small businesses (VSEs), lent her expertise to the eight or so women entrepreneurs who came to present their businesses. These entrepreneurs from the agri-food, cosmetics and various services sectors came away with a wealth of tips and digital solutions for their communications, product marketing, financial management and personnel management. It is hoped that these case studies will prove useful to the fifty or so men and women who attended.
To round off the celebration of women in style, Kelly Entertainment took it upon themselves to entertain food court customers with the2nd edition of the PlaYce Comedy Show. A sensational show featuring comedians, actors and dancers. The week-long celebration of women drew to a close on the evening of March 10, in a good-natured atmosphere.
